We are creating a book using the step by step tips and techniques in the Essential Lampworking video series. The book will feature step by step photographic guides, as well as addtional information provided by the members of Freeman studios.

Fly Away Beetle is in production in collaberation with Seven Cities Media, and Ben Garvey Productions.

Capoeira is simultaneously a dance, a fight, and a game. Created by Africans brought to Brazil as slaves in the 1500s, capoeira was forbidden by law but survived underground. Can a sport overcome a world of violence? The stories of four mestres are a living testament to the strength of the human will. Filmed in high definition, the rich colors, music, life and backdrop of Salvador, Brazil come to cinematic life."

Survivors

"We hear stories of people who have survived potentialy terminal illnesses against all odds; friends, relatives, and celebrities like Lance Armstrong. In your experience, what separates these people, these survivors? What really makes the difference? In speaking with people who are facing a life or death situation, what is the most critical advice you can give them?"

The response to this question has provided some very inspirational answers, which tended to be uplifting and encouraging. This caused me to rethink the concept of the production. We have now focused the idea of the film on just the answers to this questions. Each professionals answer (approximately 1-4 min. long) strung together without narration or added content. The end result will contain somewhere between 12-20 perspectives and in total be somewhere between 45 min and an hour. It's a simple idea but I have confidence the end result will be a inspirational and useful piece of media for people who are struggling with terminal illness.
